Position: Minecraft Moderator (Volunteer/Nonprofit) Location: Remote (Evencity Minecraft Server) Commitment: Part-time, ongoing (active during events + community engagement) About Evencity Evencity is a nonprofit Minecraft server which strives to organize outstanding themed events. To give gamers something new to enjoy, we aim to release well designed events every 1-3 months. As a unique reward, players who finish an event are given special capes via our capes system, letting them show off their achievements in the game. We take pride in offering events that are fair; there are no pay-to-win mechanics or costs, just pure enjoyment. Although the server will only be accessible during event periods and unavailable in between due to the exclusivity of our events, we are always looking for methods to increase retention rates in between events. The Role We’re looking for friendly and responsible Moderators to help maintain a positive and fair environment during events. Moderators will enforce rules, assist players, and foster a welcoming community both in-game and on Discord. Responsibilities - Monitor in-game chat and Discord to ensure a respectful, rule-abiding community. - Resolve conflicts, answer questions, and assist players during events. - Report bugs, exploits, or suspicious behavior to the admin team. - Help organize and supervise event-related activities. Requirements - Prior moderation experience (Minecraft servers, Discord, or other communities). - Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. - Familiarity with Minecraft’s rules and common server policies. - Active availability during event periods (weekends/evenings preferred). - Trustworthiness and a commitment to fair play. Nice to Have - Experience with moderation tools. - Bilingual or multilingual abilities. - Passion for event-based gameplay and community building. The Role We’re seeking talented and passionate Builders to join our team and help craft immersive, event-specific environments. As a Builder, you’ll collaborate with our design team to bring themed worlds, minigames, and structures to life, ensuring each event feels fresh and exciting for our players. Responsibilities - Design and construct detailed, theme-appropriate builds. - Work with the event team to align builds with gameplay mechanics and storytelling. - Optimize builds for performance and player experience. - Participate in creative brainstorming and provide input on event concepts. Requirements - Strong portfolio showcasing Minecraft building skills (themed builds, terraforming, etc.). - Creativity and ability to work within a team. - Familiarity with WorldEdit or other building tools. - Reliability and commitment to meeting project deadlines. Nice to Have - Previous work on servers or event-based projects.
